Tools Lib is a directory. There are no accounts, no logins and no database of visitors.

What stays in your browser

When you save a tool, its name is written to your browser's localStorage under the key toolslib:saved. It stays on this device, in this browser, and is never sent to us.

The tool finder

If you use "Ask the tool finder", the text you type is sent to our server and on to an AI model through Vercel AI Gateway to pick matching tools. We don't store it or attach it to you. Don't type personal details into it.

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and doesn't build a profile of you. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard short-lived server logs (such as IP address and page requested) for security and to limit abuse of the tool finder.

Links to other sites

Every tool listed here is its own website with its own privacy policy. Outbound links carry ?ref=toolslib.dev so the tool's maker knows where you came from; nothing else about you is passed on.
